Valentine's day is just around the corner and little hearts are popping up everywhere...love is in the air!
Personally, I'm not really into the commercial aspect of Valentine's Day and I don't tend to buy any gifts. Having said that, and taking into account my fondness for origami that I told you about around this time last year, after seeing this idea on How about orange, I couldn't stop myself folding and folding :)
These hearts are very easy to make. You can string them into a garland, or even add them to a small bunch of flowers, use them to decorate mirrors...let your imagination (and love) flow!
A gift made with a bit of love and care is always more special, don't you agree?
I was going to try to explain how to make the hearts using photos and I realised this would become an endless post so I decided to make this video (Vimeo) and take my first steps into the stop motion technique. I hope you like it!
What about you? Do you tend to do anything around this time of year in honour of Cupid?
Olga
Que curioso!
ReplyDeleteEl año pasado para san Valentín have una guirnalda de corazones para el dormitorio!
Todavía esta puesta! Este año no se....
Este año igual tendrías que hacer una guirnalda para cada habitación -spread the love ;)
DeleteI will be trying this out - this year I am encouraging home made cards & niceties - will see how I feel when I have to make things! lovely post xxx
ReplyDeleteGood plan, Kat. There are so many nice ideas everywhere for things you can make yourself. Stay tuned for a yummy biscuit recipe soon!

DeleteThat's one mighty cute video you have there.
ReplyDeleteYour dancing hearts just lit up my day :)
I agree that a home made gift beats a store bought one any day.
I'm planning on getting creative too by attempting a white chocolate mud cake with a red velvet heart centre.
Not sure how it'll turn out but I'll be sure to post the result in time for next weeks Much Love Monday anyway.
Happy week to you x
Thank you very much Katerina! We're glad you like it. That caking you're planning on making sounds lovely - we look forward to seeing that and most likely drooling :)
